Times are very trying right now. Many women are still choosing adoption. The difficulty is meeting your adoptive parents face to face. Hospital protocols have changed with heightened security. I have a birth mother in the hospital right now for observation overnight. No one can be with her. No one can visit her. My heart breaks Her phone has died and even her husband cannot bring her her charger.

Dear Waiting Adoptive Parents, When you look at a potential case and make the decision to show your profile, please make sure you read the case thoroughly, ask any questions regarding any concerns you may have, and make sure you are prepared to move forward if you are selected by the birth mother. Also, if you are working with another attorney or adoption agency at the same time please disclose that. I cannot adequately express to you the disappointment and rejection a birt...h mother feels when she selects a family and then finds out that the family is not available. This happens repeatedly that the family has not read the case thoroughly or that they were matched with another birth mother. It is heartbreaking because the birthmother envisions her child’s life with you from looking at your profile. She selects you and feels comfort that her child will have the life that you presented in your profile. There’s a tremendous feeling of rejection. We work differently than most agencies and attorneys in that we only present profiles of adoptive families that have agreed to move forward if selected. Please be considerate. Thank you.

Had a beautiful experience yesterday... one of our birth mothers who has placed twice with us (chose both to be closed adoptions)reached out asking if it would be possible to receive photos of her children. Her heart was restless and uneasy. I reached out to both sets of adopting parents and was met with such generosity and love. They each text me numerous photos of their children to forward to their birth mother. The oldest child is going on fourteen. For the first time the ...birth mother saw her beautiful children and how incredibly beautiful, healthy and loved they are. She expressed her gratitude and said I made her day. Thank you to the many adoptive families who meet adoption with an open, loving heart. To any birth mothers who feel they are not enough or are feeling down, reach out! See the life YOU set in motion. Because of YOU and your decision many lives are thriving and adding beauty and smiles to our world See more

This weekend we honor the women who carried that beautiful, young life and loved so much that they chose to give life and give their child a chance... a chance for greatness in this life. We honor those women who carried out those dreams while fulfilling their own empty hearts. One loss fills another’s void. Life given as Love. Volunteering at the pregnancy counseling center today. Outreach is vital to us. Educating the community about adoption as an option is so needed. Adoption is one of the greatest gifts of love...
