Update: both babies are matched. Opportunities to adopt: range will likely exceed $45k due to living expenses for birthmothers, transportation costs, and facilitator fee. 1) African American baby, gender unknown due mid February. She has one 15 month old boy. Birthfather unknown. Will accept gay couple.... 2) African American baby boy, due mid January. She has two children. Traditional couple preferred.

Please pray for the 2 babies snatched this week by CPS (Child Protective Services) from the hospital while adopting families were waiting. The financial motive of counties to take babies to get federal funds is appalling. The State of Arkansas audited their DHS (Dept of Human Services) and found 80% of minors detained were taken without legal justification. Every state needs to audit these practices.

More information about the #2 opportunity mentioned last week: Birth mother states no current drug use, has meth and theft convictions, limited prenatal. She is located near Los Angeles. Agrees to be drug tested, has had a 4D sonogram which shows normal pregnancy, due date moved back to late January. She prefers a Catholic family. She does want an open adoption with visitation once a year on the child's birthday. Communication by cell. BIrth father will sign waiver paperwork. Costs will run high due to providing living expenses and a facilitator fee.

BF incarcerated. 2) homeless woman and boyfriend relocating to Los Angeles shortly. Baby caucasian/hispanic girl due December 31. BF in agreement to adoption....
