Adams Avenue Bookstore is very sad to report that our dear girl cat Felixia has passed away and is no longer with us. Over the last several months she battled the increasing failure of her kidneys, the struggle of which had caused her to lose a great deal of weight. The bookstore has been the only home she has ever truly known for the last thirteen years since she was rescued alongside Bartleby by staffers Alice Le Flore and Erika Rosenfeld. Felixia’s name was chosen from a l...ist of names recommended by our very own book community and became an instant favorite. She enjoyed resting and sleeping on the folio copy of the 1611 King James Version Biblepreferably in the Book of Jobin the front window of our store. She loved to climb up as high as her legs and our shelves would allow. She will be sorely missed by one and all, especially by her partner Bartleby. We thank you all for your kindness and support during these trying times. We hope you keep the memory of Felixia alive in your thoughts and hearts.
