Featuring 10 private 1:1 therapy rooms, a gym, sensory room, and a functional play room, our first NY clinic, helps our amazing team reach new heights in therapy for children with developmental disabilities. Children with special needs can receive clinic-based or a mix of home and clinic-based therapy based on their needs, through private health insurance and private pay in a fun and safe clinic environment. BCBAs, or Board Certified Behavior Analysts, provide assessments..., treatment plans, and ongoing supervision and training to our wonderful behavior therapists who conduct the 1:1 ABA therapy. This week's Social Distance Superheroes are Mable and Desiree! Mable and Desiree have been working the same client. This client is not yet at the level that he can respond to directions through the camera, so they have been providing the parent with directions to run programs like identical and nonidentical matching, receptive identification, following directions, gross and fine motor imitation, and even feeding goals. They have learned about the phases of PECS training, and ...have begun training the mother and client's brother on how to teach our client to use his PECS! This client is now vocalizing his first words. They have worked hard every day with the mother to provide her with feedback to use antecedent strategies, adapting the schedule of reinforcement, and to modify the environment (moving the child's chair, changing the program, thickening schedule of reinforcement, and more). These therapists have gone above and beyond because they have done the work to help train the client's mother into a therapist during this time! See more
