I've missed ya! Shoulder surgery has a way of affecting the ease of posting any kind of content, much less anything valuable and interesting for you; so I've been out of action for a few months. But I'm baaaackkk. Thank goodness our team of amazing plumbers, electricians, and caring office staff has kept on taking care of our friends throughout our community through it all. You guys are the best!!!

Beware the Freeze of 2021! Temperatures are dropping. Water will expand when it freezes and cause pipes to split. Cover hose bibs, irrigation valves and any other exposed piping with buckets, blankets or some other kind of insulating cover. Keep water running a little bit through wherever pipes may be exposed to the cold (including attics). Also, locate and test your home's main shut off valve so that you can turn off the flood should you suffer a leak. If you need help, give us a call.

2020 has been a difficult and dark year for many; we hope that we have been ABLE to deliver some light into that darkness for those whom we were blessed to be ABLE to help. Christmas is special for so many reasons. With 2020 being a year of very unique challenges, it is a wonderful reminder to take time to cherish our great memories, to remember those who we may have lost or become distant from, and to commit to creating an even more beautiful future together. I want to personally share an update on our efforts at serving you and keeping you safe during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.... There is no higher priority to us than the safety of our clients and our great team. As an essential service that protects the health and welfare of our community, we remain in operation. We have established strong protocols to best protect you and our team members as we continue to show up and serve during this challenging time. Please do not hesitate to call us, but please be understanding if it takes just a wee bit longer than usual to serve you as our staffing becomes affected by the virus. Calling sooner rather than later is great advice at the moment. Some of the protocols that we are following in order be able to serve while also securing the safety of you and of our employees are: Our technicians are completely mobilized. This means each truck (our mobile warehouse) goes home with their respective technician so that group contact at our main office facility is limited. This will minimize the contact of our employees and help reduce spreading of the virus. All of our regular training and team meetings have been cancelled for the time being in order to avoid group gatherings. Our staff is voluntarily reporting for work ONLY if they are healthy (including no fever or other symptoms associated with COVID-19. Our team has been educated on preventative measures such as washing their hands often with hot, soapy water for 20 seconds, using hand sanitizer when washing isn’t an immediate option, using protective gloves, shoe-covers, and more. Before dispatching a technician, we confirm that there is nobody in the household to be served that is, or has recently been, symptomatic in any way related to the virus. We will keep a greater distance from you in your home than normal (please avoid hand shakes), but we will still provide the friendly and thorough service to which you have become accustomed from us. We are committed to you and to all the wonderful friends that we serve here in the North Valley. This is your community. This is our community. In addition to enjoying serving the best clients in the world, we also really enjoy celebrating together. This weekend, in what has been an ABLE tradition for 3 decades, we had a blast celebrating Christmas and the year gone by with laughs, great food, better company, and even a surprise visit from a Jolly Old Elf (aka: our amazing guru of all things plumbing). Though you may not live in an igloo, here are some tips to prepare your plumbing system for the potential of freezing weather: 1. Drain irrigation systems and unnecessary outdoor water lines. 2. Professionally insulate or at least cover any exposed piping. 3. Test your whole home water shut-off valve to ensure it will work in case of fro...zen pipes or a water emergency. 4.
