Notification! The Spring Workshop with Chan Sensei that was scheduled for this Saturday was cancelled due to the Corona Virus. We are optimistic that once things get back to normal, we can re-schedule another workshop. Miss being on the mat with all of you. Take care! Stay safe and healthy!

Given the current situation with Covid-19 and the fact that the dojo is temporarily closed, we decided to start this Facebook page for A V Aikido, Inc. We thought it would be nice to put some exercises on the FB page for those that want to keep up their knowledge; learn something new; or just stay connected and engaged with Aikido. We will be placing some exercises and videos on the FB page for those that are interested. Below are a few word and principle Aikido exercises.... Look up and do a little research on each exercise and do your best to find some information on each one. Think about what these mean while training in the Dojo and what they mean to you outside of the Dojo, in your everyday life. Can these help you when you have a lot of things to do, when something is bothering you or maybe when someone is bothering you? Think about it. Exercise #1: The meaning of Aikido - Ai Harmony Ki Energy Do Way A way or path to harmonize with energy. Aikido is a way of life through harmony with nature. These are the basics of the meaning but what do they mean to you? Exercise #2: Principles of Aikido - True victory is victory over oneself Principle of oneness Principle of circular motion Range of effectiveness Principles of Ki Exercise #3: Principles to unify Mind and Body Keep one point Controlled Relaxation Settle down Let your Ki flow The Principles to unify Mind and Body are the four tests we do in class. Play with these principles. Try some different ways besides the tests that we do and see what you can come up with. Exercise #4: Here are a list of words to research. Think of the meaning of these words and how they would apply in the Dojo and how you could use the meaning of these words in your life every day. Mushin No Shin Zanshin Masakatsu Agatsu Shodo O Seisu Range of Effectiveness En no Hangi Hitoashi Yokete Principles of Ki Dochu No Sei. These businesses are going to find it very difficult to get back on their feet and survive without our help. They're suffering badly now. Our products are some of the best in the world.
