Round 1 of the California Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant Program closed on Wednesday, January 13th. More than 340,000 applications were received and reviewed by Lendistry. Applicants should have been notified by this week that they were either: 1) Selected for Round 1 and asked to enter bank account information... 1) Waitlisted for Round 1 and automatically entered into Round 2 (and DO NOT have to re-apply) 3) Deemed ineligible for the program (i.e. if gross income was more than $2.5 million in 2019) If you have not received any notification of your status, there is a possibility that there were duplicate applications and the application/s are being reviewed. In this case, notification will be sent as soon as the duplicate applications are deleted by Lendistry. A total of $237 million will be disbursed to those selected in Round 1 over the next few weeks. Lendistry asks that you remain patient as those awards are electronically deposited into their accounts. There is another $237 million available in Round 2. It is important to reiterate that you DO NOT have to apply again if you were not selected in Round 1. You will automatically be entered for the next round. For those small businesses and nonprofits that HAVE NOT YET APPLIED, Round 2 opens on Tuesday, February 2nd at 8:00am and closes on Monday, February 8th at 6:00pm. Again, if you already submitted your application, you DO NOT need to apply again. Submitting a second application will slow the review process. Applicants selected in Round 2 will receive notification between February 11th and February 18th.

We are thrilled that our friends at Upper Crust Bakery and Cafe continue to find incredible success. Upper Crust truly is a Chico institution. A huge thank you to EDA for providing capital for our Revolving Loan Fund to support our local small businesses who may not otherwise be able to secure the financing needed to make their dreams come true.

Love this idea! Have any of you seen restaurants around our region selling blankets to customers dining al fresco? Let's make this happen! There's no rain in the forecast for the next few weeks... Who do we know out there that can sew some blankets to sell at local eateries?? Anyone up for a challenge?
