Michelle Marques here, your Communications Coordinator. The fires to the west of us are prompting evacuations. They are not impacting our neighborhood. (We are in Zone 3 for future reference.) If you are trying to figure out which zones are under evacuation orders, here are the maps referenced in the recent Nixle alerts: http://nixle.s3.amazonaws.com//pub_media/user63422-1597800... And http://nixle.s3.amazonaws.com//pub_media/user63422-1597803 As of 9:05pm on Tuesday, August 18, there are mandatory evacuation orders for the following zones: 1B3 Entire area Zone 1D (1D1, 1D2, 1D3, 1D4, 1D5) 2E1, 2E2, 2E3 and 2E4 There are warning evacuations in place for zone 1C2 Please consider these evacuation orders to remain in place until told otherwise by the sheriff's department. Stay safe! It's always a good idea to have your go-bag ready. And be sure to subscribe to Nixle alerts by texting your zip code to 888777.
Shared from Chris Rogers: CalFire has issued an evacuation WARNING for parts of west Sonoma County (north of Austin Creek, east of the Cedars, west of mill creek rd, and south of stewards point). This is NOT a mandatory evacuation, and it currently is not threatening Santa Rosa. However, now is a good time to make sure you are prepared. Click on the graphic below for a handy check list in preparation. If you are seeing and smelling smoke right now, there is a vegetation fire to the southwest of our neighborhood.
