#manchamonday Last week we featured our cutest yearling milker. Today we feature our most sassy yearling milker. Meet: Goat-San Fennel... Fennel is a super stylish doe like her mama with a really well attached mammary. She developed a precocious udder as a kid, and has some abnormal tissue in her medial cleft and rear udder. We are working to see if we can get it to resolve as we see great potential for her. Until we see some improvement and how she freshens as a second freshener no kids will be available from her. But enjoy the view! https://www.adgagenetics.org/PedigreePrint.aspx

Two Year Old Tuesday! We finally have had a chance to ,get all FIVE of our two year olds #AllDressedUpwithNowheretoGo. And had a chance to spend some quality time thinking about strengths, weaknesses, reasons to stay, reasons to go, and I STILL can't find a place that I want to give. In reality I shouldn't keep all five for my own sanity. But because I'm so stuck...... I want to hear from you!! Give us your thoughts about the does! Positives, negatives.... And maybe a final ranking 1-5. Be honest. You can't hurt my feelings. I know all their good and bad. Intimately. And if one catches your fancy and you feel like you just have to have her I'm open to serious negotiations. All of these does are available and none of these does are available . Convince me! Information on each doe is under their photo. Let's have some fun! #feelingfun, #youcanthurtmyfeelings

Meet our cutest yearling milker! Goat-San Blackbird https://www.adgagenetics.org/PedigreePrint.aspx... Birdie is another Beowulf daughter with an impressive mammary system. She is immature, but that is something we don't mind in our younger does. We are excited to see her mature!

For Mancha Monday we are featuring our two daughters from our Senior Herd Sire *B Goat-San Mount Bachelor. The Bachelor daughters are feminine and elegant, but immature. Rear udders in comments. Goat-San Pepper Mint - 2yo, 2nd lactation https://www.adgagenetics.org/PedigreePrint.aspx... Pepper has matured a lot from a yearling. But still has lots of room to grow. We love her strong front end, beautiful globular udder shape and high wide rear. A big improvement in production over her mother her last test was 14lbs. Goat-San En Vogue - 2yo 1st lactation https://www.adgagenetics.org/PedigreePrint.aspx Vogue has been a favorite of mine since she was born. She's been through lots of akward growing stages and is still very very immature. She has been on and off the sale list this year several times. But there is something that intrigues me about her. She is long like a giraffe, has a sound well attached udder, and it's milking steady around 10 lbs.

It has been a quiet spring and early summer here at Goat-San. With no shows to attend I have been focusing on farm improvements and enjoying and enriching the lives of our two legged children. To be quite honest it's been refreshing and enjoyable to be home more, not so exhausted from weekends of showing and I certainly don't mind not having to clip clip clip! That being said I am SLOWLY starting to clip up some of the does and get pictures to document their 2020 lactations.... The first doe we are documenting is Goat-San Carrot Cake https://www.adgagenetics.org/PedigreePrint.aspx Carrot is a second freshening 2 year old. Last year she was 2nd/1U yearling at the National Show and we are quite pleased with how she has matured with a second freshening. She is not the biggest longest doe, but she is very well balanced being correct, dairy, deep and with tremendous area of udder attachment. She's working hard this year with her first two tests being 14.1 and 13.9. Carrot's 2020 buck is available! Msg if you are interested. Here is his planned pedigree.https://www.adgagenetics.org/PlannedPedigreePrint.aspx

Two FF two year olds looking for greener pastures. PM for the nitty gritty details, but please read the entire post, it answers most questions. SERIOUS inquiries only. Preference given to homes using performance programs. I reserve the right to refuse a sale if it's not what I feel is the right fit. Located in Ukiah CA. Buyer to arrange transport. I can deliver South on 101 to Sonoma and Marin County and East to I5 around Williams. First, these are very good goats that I wis...h I could keep, but I have six two year olds, so something has to give. That being said these are the 4th, and 6th best ones in my opinion, so they certainly come with flaws. Velletri is the lowest goat in the pecking order and could use a small herd setting. Tualatin is a boss goat. Below are descriptions of each doe and pictures. Milk volume and body condition are based on my herd management and are not guaranteed once established in a new herd. Goat-San Velletri (Cham) https://www.adgagenetics.org/PedigreePrint.aspx - Velletri has a beautiful udder. It is very globular with a strong medial, a high wide rear and beautiful texture. She is very correct in her front end has a beautiful rump and good legs. She is dairy and milking about 12 pounds per day. She is the lowest in the pecking order and gets beat up a lot. her weaknesses are that she is smallish, and slight in her bone and has the immature body style. She has a slight roach to her loin, but when "shown" with a collar it is less prominent. She also can be a little soft on her rear pasterns. Goat-San Tualatin (dark sundgau) https://www.adgagenetics.org/PedigreePrint.aspx - Tua is a very large framed long bodied impressive doe. She has lovely general appearance. She is dairy and capacious. She is milking between 11-12 pounds a day. Her weakness is her udder. While well attached and capacious she could be slightly higher in the rear and longer in the fore. She also has differences in the length of the fore between sides.

This is not a sad post or a post about loss. In this time of uncertainty and in a world changed, this is a post of perseverance, dedication and love. GCH Goat-San Porcelina EX93 2013-2020 Porcelina's story started at my in-laws place in Santa Rosa. It was the first year we had moved away from Redwood Hill Farm to start our own farming adventure. She was born in the first kid crop. She was a very non descript baby, and I only kept her because I lost her dam in the Fall of 201...Continue reading
