2020 Team Powers Cup

The 2020 Team Powers Cup is upon us!!! Few things to remind everyone of for this weekends race: - The cup class is running a 13.5 handout motor. These motors come installed with 3.5mm bullets meaning you will need 3.5mm bullets on your ESC. You will receive your motor when you sign up and the motor will be returned to the hobby shop Saturday after racing. Sunday morning you will be able to grab another motor to be returned at the end of the day... - Gearing for this class is a fixed 5.0 to 1 FDR. We have a checker if you need to verify with if needed. - Spec tire for Cup class and Modified is the Team Powers 34SU and you are allowed only 2 sets and they must be used for qualifying (for those that need to make it into the cup class) and all rounds of heads up. The latter batches of these tires have 34SU stamped on the inside of the wheel, if all 4 of your tires have this stamp and you want to use as a race set you are able too. They will have to go through tech and get stickered but remember you only get 2 sets stickered so choose wisely. - All other touring classes are any Team Powers tire, do not need to be stickered. All Team Powers tires will be on special for $25.99 all weekend! - Time will not be our friend this weekend. With a great turnout expected and the days short, we need to keep everything moving. We are going to push back the 1st 2 pits outside next to timing and scoring and will have a Tech and Impound Table. Please DO NOT go back to your pit after your race. Cars must be on the impound table and drivers right back out to marshal. If you go back to your pit and are not out to marshal you will be subject to a DQ for that round or your best qualifying round. - Once we are into the heads up racing portion of the program, order for going up on the drivers stand will be starting order. This way you don't have to rush up to get in line. - Parking has been an issue but everyone did awesome for the Asphalt wars race. We need to keep our neighbors happy by parking on the lot to drivers right. The back lot is used for the brewery. - Indoor pitting is available but limited. Get there early if you want a spot indoors. See everyone this weekend!

Signups for the 2020 Team Powers Cup On-Road race are open!!! Entries will be taken day of the race but online registration is encouraged!! UPDATE!! Modified TC will be ran in the Reedy format as well!... This Sunday 10/18 is Asphalt Wars at Norcal Hobbies. This will be a great warm up race for the Team Powers cup as we expect some of the best in the area to be racing this weekend! Good news coming!!!!! 2020 Team Powers Cup On-Road will happen! November 7-8 are the new dates, make sure to mark your calendar!... We are also looking at the off-road to see if we can fit it in this year. More details to come!

Cleaning up the work area and found the 1st sketch from last years Team Powers Cup off road race.... We will make this race happen after we can all get back to our normal life’s. Until then everyone stay safe and don’t get too stir crazy!
