I always gravitate to those in between shots where you get that pure emotion. Posed shots are ok too. @eastmanowls
I got to hang with this sweet family today. I had so much fun chasing after these boys.
Those detail shots....
Trying to finish this wedding from a few weeks ago and I had to stop and post. I dunno if it's just me, but some of my favorite photos are just of hands. I feel like our hands capture what our souls are feeling. Maybe it's because I teach hands how to express emotion as a piano teacher. Maybe I just watch them so much I've come to love them. The first photos I printed of my own wedding are hands. Hands feel so intimate and real to me.
I just can't! Having so much fun editing this wedding. So beautiful!
First look from a wedding I shot Saturday. so much love between these two! I felt like I was a part of the family. Thank you for letting me be a part of your beautiful day!
Finally finishing up this newborn shoot. I just love this little family and am so honored they allowed me into their home to capture moments with their 4-day old. Although I LOVE shooting new families and newborns, sometimes my own journey to be a mom and failing can be raw. I had a hard few weeks and this family was so patient and understanding while I got it together. Thank you!!! . .... . . . #wholesquadready #newbornshoot #newbornphotos #newbornphotography #familyphotography #oaklandathletics #oaklandathleticsfamily #letsgooakland #startthemyoung #infertilitysucks #newbornsmakemehappy See more
What would your dream newborn shoot theme be? Newborn shoot from today. I love how tiny and squishy newborns are! Dad is a huge Oakland A's fan and mom and dad both love star wars. Little guy slept so happy while I posed him. I love doing themed shoots! So fun!
Trying to figure out when he turned into a little boy. He was just baby and he starts preschool in 2 weeks! He had fun posing for the camera while I prepped for a shoot, usually my dogs get my test shoots but Avery was a more willing subject.
We were in the middle of a pose when she broke out into what I like to call her Moana dance all on her own. I just love her energy and spirit! She makes every photo shoot exciting! Never a dull moment!
This little one is turning 5! I've done her photos since her first birthday and she is now also one of my star pianists! It has been an honor seeing her grow up! She is a sassy, smart and beautiful little lady and fills everyone around her with joy! Excited for year 6. (First 3 photos are this year)
When you're turning 5 and you love Moana. I've done a shoot every year for this little one! We had so much fun recreating Moana at the beach, even if it was freezing!
Did you know that a Fermata is a musical symbol that means "to hold a note until you artistically feel it had been held long enough"? I love the symbolism that has for photography. Capturing a moment to hold forever.
