PROTECTION LIKE NO OTHER Today we celebrate the Feast of the Protection of the Most Holy Mother of God. Again today we give thanks to our Lord for His many mercies and the gift of His Most Holy Mother, the Ever-Virgin Mary! We ask her intercession and protection for our cities, states, nation and world. We ask her to protect us all from evil and harm, both bodily and spiritually in this world. As we sing her praises, we ask for her help, protection and comfort. We are b...lessed in Greater Los Angeles and Southern California to have our city named after her! The full name of Los Angeles given at its founding is not "City of Angels," but rather, "Nuestra Señora Reina de los Ángeles" which means "Our Lady, Queen of the Angeles." What a glorious name for a city! Obviously, the Spanish Founders in 1781 knew very well where to find Protection like no other! Most Holy Mother of God, pray for us! A Blessed Feast Day to everyone!
