Because the reopening process of Prince of Peace Abbey is still unknown, the retreat will be virtual again this year. We were gratified at the depth of the virtual retreat last year. Being at home, participants were given an opportunity to make their abodes a place of sanctuary. This year the retreat will begin Friday evening, Sept 3, and end Sat...urday evening, Sept 4, with the option to extend the retreat until late Sunday morning (Sept 5). There will be handouts to help enrich your experience and optional activities to participate in during the retreat. This Saturday from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. we’ll be holding a trial blended meeting with about 8 of us participating from within the Meeting House and, hopefully, many more participating via Zoom. Please join us via Zoom if you are able! Instead of a meeting for worship, we’ll have worship sharing time on the topic of community. This rehearsal will provide needed feedback on the audio and video quality of our basic, stage one system as well as on the worshipful quality of the experience for both those in-person and those present through Zoom. This Sunday, May 23rd, is Library Delivery Day. Intrepid library committee member Mandy Richardville will deliver library books and materials from our meetinghouse library directly to your home. She can also pick up overdue materials you've been meaning to return. To arrange it, please text her in advance with your name, address, and the books or materials you are requesting. If you know the category in which the book is cataloged, please include that information. Mandy will wear a mask, sanitize her hands, and maintain appropriate social distancing. She respectfully requests that you do likewise.

Please join us for an important meeting to discuss a possible Minute on Social Justice that could be adopted by our Meeting. In October the Peace and Social Action Committee (P&SA) offered a Minute on Social Justice selected from a statement by the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC). At Business Meeting, there was an energetic discussion of the proposed Minute. Clearly, further discussion was needed and the issue of its adoption was referred back for further discernment. P&SA is now offering a time for fuller discussion. Please join us on December 20, 2020, at 1:15 pm via Zoom to share your thoughts and feelings about adopting such a statement.

Our women's group is typically held the 2nd & 4th Fridays of every month. Our next women's group is Friday, December 11 at 7:00 pm via Zoom. This is our only women's group this month, as the 4th Friday is December 25 (Christmas).
