We are working hard on our Range Revival Project at the Alturas Rifle and Pistol Club. Did you know that this range is the oldest in California that has remained active? The inmate work crew is learning how to install metal roofing this week. The range is a non-profit run solely by volunteers and heavily used by community members and our local youth. We are still looking for supporters to help purchase/donate items such as exterior doors, a bathroom vanity, lumber and siding!! Please call Heather or the Sheriff at 233-4416 if you would like to help. we will be having a huge workday on November 6th starting at 8 am and you’re invited!

We were honored to participate in the Modoc Cancer Walk at Hadwick Family Farm Pumpkin Patch today! Our Sheriff’s Office team raised over $1500 in sponsors that goes directly to the Modoc Cancer Awareness Committee! It was a cold one but we would walk forever for a cure!

We are honored every year to be part of the Lassen County Sheriff’s Office Wreath Ceremony to honor fallen officers. Sheriff Dowdy was able to speak about Deputy Jack Hopkins. Today we were blessed to have his Mother Carroll attend as well. Your sacrifice will never be forgotten. Always remembered. Always missed.
