The Sierra National Forest (SNF) will allow individuals who were evacuated from cabins during the Creek Fire an opportunity to return and collect their belongin...gs, clean, close, and winterize their property. Due to overwhelming responses the approval processes are taking time to go through and are based on public safety. When a date for entry is approved or determined please arrive at the meeting/entry locations with two forms of Identification for proof of eligibility to enter (Driver’s License or property deed, or bills) Requestors will be provided with a signed copy of the FS7700-48 Entry Authorization. Trash services have not been restored. It will be the responsibility of each party to be prepared to pack out their own trash. Please leave no trace! You will be issued your permit at the entry meeting/checkpoint, and then allowed into the area to pick up your belongings, clean, close and winterize cabins. We do understand that there is still a need for more dates to enter and accomplish winterization or evaluate damages. More dates for both ranger districts will be announced in the very near future. Thank you... For information the approval and permit process please follow this link - https://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/sierra/home/?cid=fseprd815384

The checkpoint is in full effect past China Peak, looks to be at the junction with Kaiser Pass Rd. (Edit: Told it is near China Peak Landing/Rancheria) At least 30 cars ahead of me at 9 am.
