Our farmers market family would like to honor the individuals who keep us safe and well cared for. To show our gratitude to our hospital and healthcare community, Kaiser Permanente & The Hens Roost have added a second location to the pick-up schedule starting on Wednesday April 29th from 1pm-6pm at 2531 Chester Avenue, behind the Kaiser Permanente Chester Avenue Medical Office Bldg. alleyway (West side between Kaiser Permanente & Eagleson Bodyworks). Ordering will open on Thursday April 23rd and close on Saturday April 25th for pick up on Wednesday April 29th! This location is open to the public, however, as a market family we wanted to make sure it was conveniently located for those on the front lines of fighting COVID 19. Kaiser Permanente in partnership with The Hens Roost is a proud sponsor of two amazing Farmers Markets in Bakersfield located at 3700 Mall View Road each Saturday from 9am-2pm and at 8800 Ming Avenue each Sunday from 9am-2pm. This is not a decision that our organizations take lightly, but in the interest of the public’s health and to ensure that our vendors, their families and our customers remain healthy and in order to comply with the California Department of Public Health and The Governor’s Office, we are closing both of our markets through the end of March due to the Coronavirus also known as Covid 19.
