What to do the day after election day? This morning as the sun rises, and I hold a cup of hot coffee in my hands, I am enjoying the sounds of early morning play from our dogs, Max and Henry. Then, I go to the newspaper and scroll through the internet, looking for answers. Instead of finding answers I, like many of you, are still sitting in a space of the unknown. As people who want instant gratification this is an uncomfortable space to be in. So, when we are left in the u...nknow with nothing else to do but wait, what we can do? You guessed it; we can turn to scripture. 2 Timothy 1:7 says, for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. (English Standard Version) My prayer as we continue to wait for election results is that we find our spirits, that we do not let fear take over our thoughts or actions. Inside, let us be a people who model self-control and use our power to love one another. Amen. Stay safe and know you are loved, Pastor Lisa
