This Music Video "Aquí estamos - We're still here" starting in conjunction with Lyrics of Sada, arises from the need to support our musicians. We are all, as s...o many others, being affected by the Covid-19 crisis. Overnight, these artists have lost their regular income and live with the uncertainty of knowing when they can work again. The social safety net for artists is non-existent, and so the consequences for artists who lose income affect the livelihood of their partners and children. The need for art and music lovers to help is immediate. This is why, thanks in part to the creativity and solidarity of Damián Nuñez, a member of the band Pangea Futbol Club, this project is founded. Damian sums it up nicely: I saw how many concerts were canceled in the first and second week of February and saw how the main source of income for our local musicians disappeared in a few days, not knowing when it would return. I felt the need to do something and decided to compose a song that evokes the positive feeling and connection with the audiences these artists usually reach. I decided to share it as an emotional support for these musicians and with the friends at Lyrics of Sada as a potential source of income. Thereafter, the song grew to a beautiful collaboration of musicians living in the quarantine of their homes. International artists based in the Bay Area and German have collaborated since the confinement began to collectively create this song and to be able to offer it to the world with the aim of conveying hope and reaffirming that music heals and helps to overcome difficult obstacles, such as those we are currently suffering.
