College of Marin - Spring Weekly Update #1 Back in School with TRI - Temporary Remote Instruction 1st Assignment - Develop a PDP (Personal Development Plan) and a Routine during this time to balance Family - Education - Soccer. Started a Daily Gratitude practice in which we will share what we are grateful for upon waking on the Team Chat. Coach Geoff Aguiar, myself and entire staff can not wait to get back so we can continue on the pitch and continue to have local student - athletes on campus. Our goal is to help be an additional resource and work with local High Schools and Clubs to develop players for COM and other schools. If you know of a local player, who would like to study, play and develop, we are scouting - recruiting for ambitious student - athletes who would like to move from COM to a 4 year school. #WeDevelopPeople&Players

Ethan Carr - Technical Development Some of the NorCal soccer community may know this very dedicated player - Ethan Carr. I have had the pleasure of watching Ethan over the past 5-6 years. His love for the ball-game-friends and his club Marin FC is immense. ... Ethan loves working with younger soccer players and he had just started volunteering as a "coach" for the Spring Institute. Obviously that isn't happening anymore but he wanted to keep players interested in soccer during the quarantine. He has decided that he wants to keep kids busy by giving a weekly YouTube tutorial on different aspects of soccer (like juggling, passing, dribbling, shooting, etc.) so they can practice while stuck at home. This is his way of giving back to the soccer community. He made his first video today on juggling. He plans to upload a new video every Tuesday during the shelter at home. I have attached the 7 minute video for you to watch. If you feel it's appropriate please feel free to send it out to your teams, or to any young soccer player (boys and girls). At the end of the video Ethan gives his email address so players can email him with questions or send them their videos of the progress they have made. His video is very basic. (Ethan does not spend time on technology...instead he spends it practicing with his ball at his feet 24/7.) Here is his video: https://youtu.be/Tm1zcs7olgI Please Share , Play & Enjoy while you optimize your technical development. Ethan’s proud friend, Andrew Ziemer.
