In honor of our CSBS graduating in about a week, we want to share a testimony from a student in our Bible school. "Have you ever tried to put together an item without the manual? Maybe you have and either it didn’t work and you needed the manual or you did and it worked for a little while. However, you realized you weren’t getting the full experience of the product. It’s funny because before CSBS, this was me. Before the school, I was on a journey of trying to have faith, get... to know God, how He worked. Yet, I wasn’t reading His Word . . . God’s manual. Since I wasn’t reading His manual, I didn’t understand God was able to do way more than I ever thought possible. I was so limited in my understanding of God. I say all of this to testify to the fact that reading God’s Word or His manual changes things. You begin to see the original design and intention God has as the Creator of Life. God’s Word brings breakthrough in allowing you to see the fullness of Him and what He created the world to be." See more

This weekend we celebrated Father's Day. We are thankful for every father who leads, provides, and fights for their family. Father's Day is for the spiritual father's, stepfathers, father figures, adoptive fathers, biological father's, and the men who've stepped into the role of a father for children who need it. Thank you for all you do. Thank you for loving your children. Thank you for making sacrifices. Thank you for being present. Thank you for being a father.

Our Compassion DTS graduated! We are so proud of this group of students. They are passionate and expectant to see God move as they head home. Congratulations to every student and staff who made this school happen.

Community Friday Loving and acknowledging our community well one day at a time. Here are some faces we want you to know. This is Jack and Paris! We love this couple who met here at YWAM LA. Paris volunteers in many areas including the kitchen and our anti trafficking ministry. She brings personality and laughter to our campus. We love her vibrancy and ability to meet people where they are at. Jack serves in our student communications team as well as our anti trafficking ministry. We love his heart to speak identity and truth to the men in his life. Jack is always down to share his knowledge about coffee or just listen to those around him. We love this couple and are so glad they are here.

"As humans, we love to be comfortable. We want to have nice things. We would love for our lives to go smoothly. Today’s culture promotes putting yourself first and following your own heart. God calls us to do the complete opposite. As Christians, we aren’t called to be comfortable, but to serve selflessly. We are to put others first and follow Jesus because our own hearts are selfish. Jesus promises us that living this way will be hard. Other people won’t understand. But it will all be worth it in the end as we expand the kingdom of God." Always searching for the next adventure, the next big thing to try out, the next task to be checked off my list, the next experience to participate in. But this year it feels different. I felt God telling me to stop. He whispered, 'Stop searching. What if this is all there is? What if this is enough? No more looking for the next thing. Just be here with me.
