Granny thought there was no hope for her yard. GAL was excited to sit down with her and come up with a plan of action to create a beautiful little yard where she feels safe and can enjoy the birds and butterflies she loves so much.

Details make all the difference. Adding larger pebbles on top of the layer of less expensive gravel gave this yard that little extra to give it Personality with a capital P!

Check out this cute, money saving makeover! GAL is all about repurposing...for this yard we will use the rocks and pebbles currently scattered around in the overgrown, dead grass to make a nice boarder. Trimming the trees and adding a few succulent plants donated by a neighbor will keep the cost down. Laying down a good barrier of high quality landscape fabric before tossing down a load of natural bark ($12 per cubic yard purchased from the Mira Mesa Greenery at the local landfill), will keep this yard free of weeds for years to come!

I love the design for this cute little home...hardly any maintenance. The small patch of real grass will need minimal watering. Widening the entrance sidewalk creates a welcoming feel.

All this home needs is a quick clean up and a few more roses. The small patch of artificial turf will look cheerful and keep maintenance to a minimum.

Three different looks for this yard. Hmmm...I think I like the rock wall one best...but would probably use mulch instead of the DG...looking forward to seeing which one the owner chooses.

Working on some more options for that lovely home in PQ. Can't wait to see this project completed. Going to look so nice!
