Before I go back to telling you what I’m up to (yes, we’re up to a lot of things!), I’d love to give the spotlight to my client @carol.iacobucci her brand is THE CAROL CONNECTION. Carol has always had the passion for helping seniors create meaningful connections and community for seniors with the use or technology. It’s such a great thing because Seniors are most isolated during this time of COVID, and the ones not quite comfortable with social media platforms like Facebo...ok! So while you might be reading this / seeing this here, think about someone who could benefit from this class. Who could you show this to? Or who could you help sign up? a. Carol cares and wants to help. b. It’s free! c. Did I mention Carol cares and wants to help? Visit www.thecarolconnection.com to register someone you love.

Cookies and Business. I often tell my clients that they need to be specific; when they state their goals, when they identify their ideal client, and when they build their mission statement for instance. Because when it’s specific, it’s clear to you; and when it’s clear to you, it’s clear to everyone else.... I realized today that I may need to follow my own advice when sending the husband to the grocery. I said: we need food! And this is what he came back with. Well... now we know what’s for dinner. What can you get more specific about when it comes to your brand? * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * #yourbrandstory #yourbrandstoryco #mompreneurlife #smallbusinessowner #cookiesfordinner #sendthehusbandtothestore #bespecific #buildyourbrand #brandyourbusiness #drilldown #mymommyology #costco #costcoftw

Anyone know the passcode to quick and easy money-making? What about money trees? Anyone? The truth of the matter is -- there is no such thing. When it comes to creating a sustainable business, quick, easy, fast are typically not words we'd associate with. Really, to see true success takes TIME and HARD WORK. It's an investment you must be willing to make and keep, even if times are challenging.... Be patient. Make a choice, test it out, give it some time, and then adjust as necessary. Remember to measure! There are no shortcuts and things will fall into place in the end. #YourBrandStory

For some odd reason, I saw @ellieshefi post a couple of weeks back and I responded. We quickly made a friendship and then realized that we lived 10 mins from each other. And with all this virtual connecting happening, our natural instinct was to physically connect and meet for lunch... and we hit it off ever since! ... Lots of good and exciting things are coming, thanks to Ellie coming into my world, so stay tuned! And folks connect! Don’t let this new virtual world stop you from building relationships. Because as you can see, you never know what good things will come out of it!

For some odd reason, the human brain likes to think, capture and remember things in three’s. Slogans: Just Do It. Instructions: Stop. Drop. Roll.... Books and Rhymes: Three Little Pigs Statements that stick: Tell me more. I remember using this technique to help advance my kids’ ability to follow instructions when they were younger: take off your shoes, wash your hands then come and hug mama. For some reason, words, phrases, bullet points, instructions, and even next steps... more often than not it’s easier for us to remember them in 3’s. So when you write out your copy see if this little technique will work for you! * * * * * * * #yourbrandstoryco #yourbrandstory #mymommyology #smallbusiness #smallbusinessowner #brandyourbusiness #mompreneurlife #youareabrand #brandingtip #thinkinthrees #nextbeststeps #practicaladvice #copywriting #tiptuesday

Until this pandemic hit a few months ago, weighing scales were not my friend. I’d get on, and they’d always tell me what I didn’t want to see. And then after a while, I just stopped getting on. But I set a goal to be healthier and lighter. Mostly because I could feel my knees when I ran, and I needed more energy. And this first made sense to me (finally) when I joined @oonaghduncan’s program. You need to measure, because without it you won’t know what you’d need to adjust o...r how to track your progress. You may not like what you see now, but at least you can see what’s working, what’s not, and then you can adjust accordingly. And I heard it again in the business world; over and over. The same is true for your business. How do you know you’ve moved forward if you don’t take stock of your starting point? And how do you know your campaign worked if you don’t set key performance indicators (KPIs)? What to you is success? You need to know that so you can manage what you do, don’t do, and what you can change accordingly. So, the weighing scale and I have come to terms with each other. And occasionally, I still don’t like what I see. But now I know, and I have a better idea of what needs to change moving forward. What are you trying to measure in your business? Pick one, test out your theory and come back to let us know what happened! I’d love to hear your story (you can post it below OR send me a message!) * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * #yourbrandstoryco #yourbrandstory #mymommyology #smallbusiness #smallbusinessowner #brandyourbusiness #mompreneurlife #youareabrand #manageandmeasure #kpi #keyperformanceindicator #whatdoessuccesslooklike #productivitytips #entrepreneurhacks #fitfeelsgood #oonaghduncan #basicbusinessprinciples

What do bathing guinea pigs have to do with building a brand or a business? Probably nothing. In fact my husband often says that we spend a lot of time with these guinea pigs that could be used towards other stuff.... And in principle, I would agree except it was important to Jamie. And it was important to her that we did it together. Now guinea pig salons weren’t listed in the book of motherhood either I’ll tell you that! But I go back to who was asking and why. And that’s precisely why, despite my own feelings about washing rodents and sharing my blow dryer, I did it anyway. So maybe the lesson really goes back to knowing your (my) WHY. The how may not always be what you’d expect it to be, and that’s where the flexibility and adaptability comes into play. As parents, entrepreneurs and business people in general We bob and weave and roll with the punches. But if the end purpose and outcome is clear, then the journey through will be worth it. Contrary to my husband’s statement about guinea pigs have no function in our home, Jamie says they do: they make her happy. I’m pretty sure that’s how these piggies have cemented their place in our home. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * @do2dubb @jamies_piggesquad #yourbrandstoryco #yourbrandstory #mompreneurlife #mymommyology #entrepreneur #smallbusinessowner #workonweekends #businessandpleasure #humorinlife #parenting #knowyourwhy #messymiddle #icantbelieveididthat #whatwedoforourkids
