On September 29th, we held a life release ceremony for 876 goats and sheep. We were joined by many friends and family and led in prayer by Venerable Lingtrul Ri...npoche, Tulku Jigme Wangdrak Rinpoche, Tulku Padga Rinpoche and Jamyang Rinpoche. This year we have saved 876 goats and sheep along with the kind folks of Goats R Us Company. We spent over $123,000 US dollars so that together we could save 876 animals from certain death. We spent over $76,000 and the people of Goats R Us have spent over $47,000 of their own funds. This is the highest number of animals we ever saved at any one time. Before this release together with Goats R Us, Venerable Lingtrul Rinpoche, the Tibetan community of the San Francisco Bay Area, and you our kind sponsors, have all together saved about 1004 goats and sheep. Now from this year’s release alone, we have almost doubled that number. Thank you so much to our kind sponsors and supporters. So many people from all around the world have contributed to help save the lives of these goats and sheep. It is due to your kindness that these life releases are possible.
