Train to fight, because you never know if you’ll need it. Last night, @mykiro had to put his training to the test. . . Mykiro was sitting in the dark in peace, AirPods in and doing laundry. A shadowy figure snuck into his outdoor patio area, and headed to the sliding glass door. He didn’t know he was being watched, or that he had chosen the wrong house to attempt a robbery. .... . A ten year army vet, D1 strong safety, and one of our most intense and dedicated athletes, Mykiro acted on instinct. The criminal slowly opened the door, only to be surprised onto his heels and pushed back as Mykiro came out and confronted him. . . Stunned, and before having the ability to react, Mykiro threw a right hook, left uppercut combo that crashed into the mans face. He was wobbled but still on his feet, so the dad of two stayed poised, and followed up with a jab/cross combo. This is the exact scenario he’s drilled over and over at Xplicit. . . The thief stumbled and folded this time, attempting to fight back, knowing that he was severely out gunned. Mykiro’s extensive football training kicked in and he tackled the man. High and scared, the guy still had enough energy to fight, so Mykiro picked him up and slammed him, finally subduing the man with strikes from full mount and pinning him down. Neighbors heard the commotion and called the police. . . Once the adrenaline wore off, the robber was spent, but Mykiro is conditioned, and told the man that he was ready for more if the guy wanted to try and fight again. He didn’t. . . Train to fight. Fight to win. You never know when/if you’ll have to fight for your life. Bravo, Mykiro! See more

Add some cardio to your life. Try this pyramid boxing round between sets to keep your heart rate high. Start by throwing 2 punches, side shuffle, 4 punches, side shuffle, 6 punches, etc. until you hit 12 punches. ...
