We’re really excited to share this incredible story! As a child, Easton LaChappelle loved creating new inventions. At 14 he designed a robotic hand that could be controlled wirelessly by a control glove. When displaying the arm at the State Science Fair, he met a young girl wearing a prosthetic device that needed some serious improvements. Easton realized there could be a deep human impact behind his technology, so he turned to YouTube to learn how to create more affordable a...nd accessible prosthetics. Through watching YouTube videos, Easton gained the skills he needed to perfect his prototype. While still in high school, he launched his company Unlimited Tomorrow, Inc.. Today, Unlimited Tomorrow uses cutting-edge technology and 3D printing solutions to design next-level artificial limbs. When a simple idea becomes a reality - changing our lives and feeding the spirit. Tay Nelson opened Bobby’s BBQ in South Carolina to honor his late father’s legacy as a chef and serve hungry customers with a smile. Since opening, the award-winning restaurant has earned a name for its tasty meals and contributions to the local community. One of the neatest parts of this story is that Tay learned his skills on YouTube! In January our team traveled to SC to capture Tay’s story on film, and of course try his famous BBQ! With college tuition out of reach, as it is for so many, Yves Cooper struggled to find a job where he could make the sort of wide-reaching impact he wanted. After a lot of hard work and a lengthy job hunt, he finally connected with Merit America, added the Google IT Support Professional Certificate to his resume, and landed his dream job. Yves is an incredibly kind, warm hearted, driven person. It was a pleasure spending a few days creating this with him back in January.
