hello!!! sorry i haven’t posted in quite some time but it’s time to post on the current situations. DRIVERS don’t realize that if we r reclassified as employees (e) we will more likely b paid less, minimum wage. in order for a company to have employees, they need to provide benefits like health insurance, pay taxes & other things like social security & disability insurance!!! it’s cheeper for them if we remain general contractors (gc) therefore we get more of our $! if we... r (gc) we make our own schedules & get paid more $!! if we r (e) they could require us to drive a specific schedule & lower our pay to pay for those benefits! i have been driving for 5 years! prior to uber i could NOT find work because i’m a stay at home mom with 2 young children, who still require lots of my attention!! i drive when my husband is home so i don’t need to pay a babysitter!! i take them to & from school. i’m there for conferences. i don’t drive if either of us is not feeling well. i’m available for after school activities. i’m able to drive when it’s convenient for me not the employer! over the years i have realized that at different times of the year, it’s more profitable for me to drive at different times of the day or week!! there was a time that i was also going to school (college) & although not as much, i was still able to drive (make $) & care for my kids & attend classes, which i’ll b forever greatfull for. uber has given me (& lots of others as well) the opportunity to work & care for my family! i belive that uber has given mothers & college students the opportunity to work!!!! NOT all drivers want to b (e)’s!!!! i signed up for uber because of its convincality! if u want to b paid minimum wage then go flip burgers!! please share with ur family & friends!

possible hacking into uber drivers accounts! drivers bware! i was called last night by uber security asking for my email address & PASSWORD! without thinking i provided it. they notified me that cash out would not be available to me until monday, december 2nd! then i received an email stating that my account had been accessed by another device in a completely different city! after receiving this message & thinking about it i realized that it might have been a scam! i immediately cashed out, which i was allowed (even after being told cash out would not be available until monday!). i have notified uber of this strange activity & they are looking into this & will b contacting me soon! just be careful & i will update any findings! please drive & be safe out on the road!
