With school starting all around the Bay Area it is important to remember the importance of vaccinating your children! Vaccines are for everyone. By vaccinating, people are not only protecting themselves, their families, but also people who could not receive vaccine such as people who are immuno-compromised. At Mayview, our patients' health is our number one priority. Therefore, we base our practices on evidence-based recommendations. The World Health Organization recommend...s vaccines to be given to children and adult(1). There are still hundreds of thousand of children and adults worldwide dying each year due to vaccine preventable diseases (2). In addition, the mortality rates have been decreasing dramatically ever since vaccines were introduced. Studies have shown that vaccines save lives. Hence, we recommend our patients to get vaccinated. Visit www.Mayview.org to learn more and to schedule an appointment today!

On February 2, 2017 Dr. Leann Watson tragically left this world too soon. Dr. Watson was a kind, loving, generous woman, who was an amazing doctor, coworker and friend. The only thing that Dr. Watson cared about more than her patients was her daughter, Naila. In order to support Naila as she begins her new life with her grandparents and uncle, MayView would like to raise money to be put in a fund for when she goes away to college. Naila was the light of Dr. Watson's lif...e and we hope to honor Dr. Watson by making sure that Naila always knows that she is loved and cared for. We appreciate any donation that you can make to Naila's Fund! Please help spread the word by sharing this donation link! https://www.gofundme.com/nailas-fund

Last week a few of MayView's "elves" went and picked up 100 gifts that were collected by volunteers from El Camino Hospital. These gifts will be distributed throughout this week to the patients and families of MayView. This great partnership between generous donors, helpful volunteers, and the awesome staff at El Camino Hospital will be sure to have a very positive impact on a child's life.
