Happy Fall Semester to our students and fans! As we learn new ways to appreciate percussion, it's important to remember the performances we have loved! Here is a performance by WVC Percussion Instructor Gregory Messa of George Crumb's "Mundis Canis", a fun contemporary piece featuring also featuring guitarist Nemanja Ostoich. Each movement of "Mundis Canis" is a different representation of a one of the composers family dogs, and communicates their personalities so well! Thi...s piece requires lots of communication and subtle interpretation on an eclectic instrumentation. What is one of your favorite pieces to perform, and why?
