Last week, we premiered Woven Interviews. We hope you join us this Tuesday May 26th at 8:00 PM, when Simon will be interviewing Robin Johnston McGehee live on Instagram. You may remember Robin from co-hosting Faithfully Queer. Robin has been an activist for LGBTQ rights both locally and nationally and we are excited to learn from her during this conversation. Make sure you put it on your calendar as you won’t want to miss it!
We recognize that many in our community have been unequally affected during this crisis, yet will not receive stimulus funds simply because someone in their household is undocumented. With this in mind, Woven has decided to use grant money to create a fund to help these families. On this Giving Tuesday, we invite you to join us in this effort by donating to this fund. All designated money will go to the @centralvalleymutualaidnetwork . If you would like to give to this effort, click on the link in our bio and designate your funds to COVID Relief.

It’s been amazing to see how many people in our community have become helpers during this very difficult time. Delivering food, sewing masks, donating money, and many other ways. We thought one way of helping, is to all support a local business. For those who are able, we invite you to join us in ordering from @quesadillagorilla , which job reopened their Fresno location! Sometime between 4/17-4/23 support this great local company and their employees by ordering a meal from them.
Getting together these days looks different! We are reminded so clearly this week that we, all God's people, are the church. Not a building nor a name, but a people. Last night we did a guys group, this morning we got the kids together! On Thursday evening we will bringing the gals together. Thankful for a space to gather even if it isn’t in a physical space

After speaking with many of you, we have decided to cancel our service tomorrow. With the level of anxiety that many of us are experiencing, we feel like it might be best for everyone to stay home with their families and loved ones. Over the next week, our leadership team will reevaluate whether or not it is best to gather again next Sunday. As an act of unity, we invite you to read the story of Jesus calming the storm (Mark 4:35-41) tomorrow at 5:00pm. As we read this passage, let us remember that we are all in the same boat together, and Jesus is in the boat with us. Peace and blessings to you.
