Happy Holidays Everyone - Reminder that there are no classes from today, December 24th through Saturday January, 2nd.

Last Day of Classes until we come back on January 4th.

2020 has not been easy. Most of it was not in our control. But... for what we can control, I think the WCTKD Instructors did amazing. Here are some of our highlights from 2020. 1. Pivoted to teaching online classes in less than a week. 2. Washed our hands and sanitized everything, over and over again. 3. Created a new resource website - AKA The Digital Dojang... 4. Ran a logo contest with some great artwork. 5. Opened our online store for some sweet customized WCTKD swag. 6. Taught so, so many private lessons. 7. Ran "Coast to Coast" class on Zoom with three other World Class schools from around the country. 8. Taught outdoor classes in the summer and got some sweet tan-lines. 9. Set up the outdoor mats and tents every morning and took them down every day for months. Definitely building muscles and patience along the way. 10. Figured out how to do testing in a digital format. The back of house operations was the most challenging part of the puzzle. 11. Made Major renovations to the school including new paint, new flooring, new mats, new layout, and new cubbies. We even have a beautifully unused vending machine just waiting. We're looking at you Marcus Junior. 12. Didn't run out of toilet paper, even when classes were inside for a bit. 13. Ran a tournament in a completely new format along with Bring A Friend Days, Yellow Stripe Challenges and Alumni Classes. 14. Most importantly our team grew stronger together and built an even better connection with our students and community. See more

Throwback Thursday - Kicking for Miracles 2016

Not being perfect, doesn't make you a failure. As adults, if we're honest, we are making mistakes all the time, it's how we learn... and it's okay. Kids are going to make even more mistakes, because they have more to learn... and it's okay.... Remember that it's about their progress on their journey to Black Belt and in Life. Help them learn from their mistakes, help them keep their heads up, help them to work hard and have fun.

Throwback Thursday - Bring A Friend Day 2019

Hey World Class Tae Kwon Do Family. As this year's Tournament is this Saturday, we were wondering... what was your favorite memory from the Tournament in previous years? We'd love to hear from you and see some pictures.

As an adult martial artist, we highly recommend the book - "Zen in the Martial Arts". It's a book that is on our staff's mandatory reading list. Our Instructors like it enough to go back and read it again every few years. Definitely not a one and done book.

It’s been a long time coming. The students and teachers are finally able to do Tae Kwon Do classes indoors starting today!!! It almost felt like opening a brand new school today with all of the facility improvements and the length of time it’s been since we’ve be able to kick, punch, and have fun indoors. Obviously we are limiting class size and taking the necessary precautions to keep our instructors, students, and families as safe as possible. Here’s a picture of our socially distanced red belt class today. They did phenomenal!!

Throwback Thursday - Tournament Demo 2018

One of the best quotes that defines what it means to be a Black Belt is from the late Zig Ziglar, a very popular motivational speaker and author from the 80's and 90's. "What you get by achieving your goals is not as important as what you become by achieving them." - Zig Ziglar Remember that it's not about putting the Black Belt around your waist (although it feels amazing). It's about the journey, it's about the person you have become by earning that Black Belt that makes becoming a Black Belt so special.

An enjoyable book for our young Little Tigers is "Monsters Do Not Know Tae Kwon Do". It's light and fun all around and could be useful for those Little Tigers who may be afraid of monsters at night.

December is Friends and Family Month. When you refer a friend or family member who becomes a member at World Class Tae Kwon Do, you receive a $50 credit to our online store and your friend or family member receive $50 off their first month of classes.

#TBT Bring A Friend Day For the first time ever we are holding an Outdoor Social Distance Bring A Friend Day! On Saturday, August 22nd from 11:40-12:30 enjoy some Taekwondo, sunshine, and fun with a friend. We will be following the same safety precautions as our outdoor classes and you'll get a free WCTKD mask! Spots are limited, check your email for details.

Just a reminder our mat gets pretty warm in the sun so be sure to wear close-toed shoes that won't fly off for kicking and students may also wear a hat like Mr. Carter for extra sun protection

Outdoor classes are in full effect and it's awesome! Students and staff are doing a fantastic job maintaining social distancing, wearing their face coverings, and best of all they're having fun taking class together! Our staff is fully trained in Covid-19 Protocol, we are disinfecting the mat after every class and offering hand sanitizer to every student before they leave. We hope to see you "in" class soon!
