This is David Combs showing his extraordinary graphite on paper work "Tupac" and "Long Live the Kane (Big Daddy Kane)" for the first time in public early in 2020 at Works. We're incredibly proud to have shown David's work among 226 pieces in "Foresight: 2020." It took SJMA 37 years to reprise what Sonya Rapoport showed at Works in 1983, and it took ICA San Jose 33 years to feature Alan Rath as he was featured at Works in 1986. We love those and many establishment organizations, but hope it's not so long for David to be recognized elsewhere. Meanwhile we'll stay here on the bleeding edge and will be backdoing things first.
