On December 18th, the Order of Malta Western Association and their Knights and Dames donated and distributed tote bags with hats, gloves, socks, scarves, canned food and more to the seniors living near John XXIII. Additionally, they distributed 300 enhanced hygiene kits to the unhoused outside of The Window. Thank you for supporting the community as we enter the winter season. #changinglivesforgood

Saturday, October 10th is Mental Health Day and as I reflect back over the last 9 months what comes to mind is resilience. How through a pandemic, wildfires, uncertain economic and political times most of us are able to bounce back, perhaps not all the way to where we were before but better than might be expected. It is this ability that fills me with hope. I recognize that resilience doesn’t make all these incredible challenges that our community is facing disappear but it g...ives us hope for the future. It allows us to be better prepared for the next test of our health and faith. The Mayo Clinic suggests the following tips to build resiliency; get connected, make every day meaningful, remain hopeful, take care of yourself, tend to your own needs and feelings, be proactive and don't ignore your problems.
