My student Cyndy Pope and her dog Conor just earned their second Novice A leg towards their (CD) Companion Dog Title. With a score of 194 out of 200 pts. One more leg to go. I got to watch their performance and he was the happiest guy. Connor is under 2 years old, and almost ready for his next title, (CDX) Companion Dog Excellence. Congratulations Cyndy and Conor!

RUH-ROH! This dog may have stolen his owner's false teeth, but she can't seem to stay mad at him.

Piper is a Hero this week.. Not a fake story.. I got a call Thursday afternoon a little after 4 p.m. from my friend/neighbor that her daughter lost her dog. They are on 40 acres off of Wolf Mountain Road, which most of the area is thick brush. The little dog is 14 years old and blind, missing several hours. I went up there to look for the dog. After looking for a while in the hot heat and having no luck, I went home to get Piper. Though, I was told that Dobermans are not v...ery good at tracking. I took the little dog's bed with us, let Piper get a good smell of it. Then we went searching, looking in the thick brush and going on a path that Piper was wanting to go on. Within about 30 minutes or so, Piper found the little dog wedged under a fallen log in deep brush. We could not even see the dog but Piper would not leave the site, she was so intense I've never seen her like that. We waited and finally the little dog moved slightly and we seen something in the deep brush and there he was. It took a while to get him out but he was not hurt. Piper did such a good job. I told her she's going to get a good treat. Happy ending. See more
