Putting up holiday lights on 60!trees on Ventura Blvd today

Dena Weiss and her family helped us decorate 60 street trees on Ventura Blvd today with solar holiday lights. Thanks to Dena, Sheppard Kaufman, Heath Kline, Sean McCarthy, Karen Dibiase, Mercy J Alpert and Larry G.

The WHWCNC board members gave their time today to put up solar holiday lights on 60 street trees on Ventura Blvd today. We plan to continue to support our stakeholders throughout the Pandemic and recovery.

Neighbors-From Councilmember Blumenfield Tomorrow’s Holiday Toy and Food Drive In light of the pandemic, this year I'm converting my annual Holiday Open House into a physically distanced Toy and Food Donation Drive. Tomorrow, December 10, please swing by the parking lot behind my District Office (19040 Vanowen St, Reseda) if you’re able to donate canned food and/or toys to those in need during the holidays. Your donated goods will go directly to food insecure families thanks... to our amazing local partner food banks- The West Valley Food Pantry, the Canoga Park Senior Citizen Center, Guadalupe Center, and ONEgeneration Senior Enrichment Center. For food donations, please only bring nonperishable items and we will distribute the toys to local nonprofits that serve families in need. Hunger, loneliness and isolation are affecting many seniors and families in the West Valley and any contributions to help brighten their day are appreciated. To reduce the spread of COVID-19 at the drive, we are requesting you place your food/toys in the trunk of your car so my team can safely retrieve your donations.
