Announcement: The Woodlake Lions Club has made the decision to cancel the 2021 Miss Woodlake Lions Rodeo contest, previously scheduled for the Spring of 2021, due to the state and local impact of COVID-19 pandemic during 2020. The cancellation of 2020 rodeos and community events that Miss Woodlake Lions Rodeo would normally be a part of to represent the Woodlake Lions Rodeo, Woodlake Lions Club and community of Woodlake, spurred the decision to allow the 2020 Miss Woodlake L...ions Rodeo, Macie Kulikov, to continue her reign through 2021. A number of other rodeo queen contests have taken the same approach to provide the best opportunity for their 2020 titleholders, including the Miss Rodeo California and Miss Rodeo America contests. To the contestants who were looking forward to running for the 2021 Miss Woodlake Lions Rodeo title, the Woodlake Lions Club and Miss Woodlake Lions Rodeo Committee apologizes for any inconvenience this decision has caused. The rodeo industry has been hit hard during the challenges of 2020, and we look forward to having you compete in 2022! Despite the majority of California rodeos having been canceled this year, 2020 Miss Woodlake Lions Rodeo, Macie Kulikov, has still been busy in the equine industry and making the Woodlake Lions Club proud! She’ll be headed to Texas in a couple of months to compete in Pole Bending at the Junior World Finals after qualifying in Utah, and she spent last week assisting the show management team at the Reno Snaffle Bit Futurity! Her initiative and hard work are qualities to be commended in a rodeo queen!!
