Hey you all! I know I don't make it on Facebook often enough but I'm popping in to share this fundraiser for an organization that I hold dear to my heart, Midwives For Haiti. I've been traveling to Haiti every summer for a few years now- they do excellent work and are making HUGE progress! Please help if you can and I hope to see you soon... It's official: We are raising money for a new Jeep! Too many breakdowns means hundreds of women are not getting care at mobile clinic. ...Our directors just arrived in Haiti and are looking around for the right vehicle to keep our midwives on the road. Please help us by: 1. Making a donation! Click on the Razoo elephant icon above in our FB drop down menu, or the link below, or visit our website! 2. Help us fundraise! Share this Razoo link on your networks and encourage your friends and family to make a difference in the lives of Haitian women. http://www.razoo.com/story/We-Need-A-New-Jeep

We have just begun to fight!! ACOG has a national legislative agenda to eliminate untrained midwives (if you didn't know, that means anyone who is not a nurse m...idwife). Licensed Midwives and Certified Professional Midwives are THE majority of trained professionals that attend homebirths. You need to be aware of this and fight for your right to choose a Licensed midwife. See more

This is the organization that I volunteer with in Haiti, they do AMAZING work! Please support them if you can, your money will go a long way and be very well spent... Once a midwife is educated her knowledge cannot be taken from her. She will benefit her community and her family for 30 or more years. In 2014, our graduates will total 104. This means that Midwives For Haiti will have trained nearly one-third of the midwives working in Haiti. ... In a country with the highest maternal mortality rate in the Western Hemisphere, Haiti needs more midwives. Haiti needs Midwives For Haiti. We need YOUR HELP. We have 4 days to raise $40,000. Please make a donation at midwivesforhaiti.org right now. Our programs are making a difference in the lives and communities we serve.
