It's been a busy weekend! My birds helped to celebrate the lives of three individuals who passed away recently, at three separate funerals. Saturday afternoon, we celebrated a wedding at the Grand Island Mansion in the delta. I've included a picture on the lovely historic mansion. The birds were also used in the opening ceremonies of Relay for Life in Lodi. I was plum tuckered out, but the birds were just fine!

The 50th anniversary of the Elk Grove Portugese Festa was was celebrated May 28th. Groups from all over central California were in attendance. The Sacramento chapter celebrated June 4th, with their festa and the Stockton Festa will be held June 11th. A pair of my birds were/are being used in each of the parades. If you look closely, you will a cage with the birds in one of the pictures being pulled by a very young lady. I met some new friends and shared a meal while celebrating their heritage! The various groups outdid one another with the gowns and details of the day.
