With the Covid-19 situation as it is, there will be no Sky Harbor/Wings-n-Wrenches HISTORICAL AIRCRAFT DISPLAY again this month, July, 2020. I posted signs, but they were removed, so please let others know.
WINGS-N-WRENCHES HISTORICAL AIRCRAFT DISPLAY DAY IS CANCELED FOR JUNE 2020. We will do the same as the county ramp display and when things reopen, "regulars" will get full rain-check credit for all missed months.
Wings-n-Wrenches Tax Exemption Historical Displays: Because of the coronavirus, monthly display days are on hold. When things clear up, we can make up by doing several display days per month, or ??? (I'm open to suggestions). Stay safe!
To all my San Diego County Airports friends: The county is deferring rent payments from lease holders for two months with the intent that the forgiveness will get passed on to their tenants. "4. Direct that renters of County of San Diego owned residential and commercial property located in incorporated and unincorporated areas of San Diego County impacted by the COVID-19 emergency, be entitled to rent deferral and a moratorium on eviction in accordance with the procedures set forth in the Board of Supervisors’ Resolution of March 24, 2020 entitled, Resolution of the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Diego Exercising its Police Powers to Impose Substantive Limitations on Residential and Commercial Evictions in the Unincorporated Area of San Diego County." https://www.sandiegocounty.gov//sdc/dpw/airports/COVID.html
Many thanks to the many friends and customers who have supported Wings-n-Wrenches through the years. As of May 1, we have ceased operations. I'm keeping the hangar and will be around most mornings, and will continue to conduct the Historical Aircraft displays for Sky Harbor tenants monthly.
If you're interested in a C150G (1966), come on by and take a look at her. VFR panel mount GPS, heavy duty nose gear, mid time engine, 2 place intercom, vertical card compass...straight and true. A very fun airplane for that $100 burger.
After many weeks of being closed, health drama is in the rear view mirror and WnW is reopened. Initially, we are operating an abbreviated schedule, closing around lunchtime every day. We'll be back on the normal schedule soon.
RIP Marty Pasos. Your 91 years were a good run, but we know you still had things to do. You touched a lot of people and will be sorely missed.
