Wilson Park Train Rides 17.11.2020

Your adventure on our 4th Annual Halloween Trainspookular will begin as you depart the Station under the blanket of darkening skies. Your train will crawl through family friendly spooktakular displays, lights, sounds, projections, and fog. The SCLS Halloween Trainspookular is an annual fundraiser. Boarding ticket is $7 per rider each ride on the evenings of the event (or $5 during regular run days on Sept. 2, Sept. 15, Oct. 7 and Oct. 20). Southern California Live Steamers is an all-volunteer, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Your donations allow SCLS to continue to provide train rides on regular run days on the 1st Sundays from 11a to 3p, and on 3rd Saturdays from 12p to 3p.

Your adventure on our annual Moonlight Night Run begins as you depart the Station under the blanket of darkening skies illuminated by a full Sturgeon Moon on August 25, 2018. The Moonlight Night Run is a fundraiser event. $5 Boarding tickets are available at the Depot on August 25 beginning at 7:00 pm. Southern California Live Steamers is an all-volunteer, cash only, nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. We welcome additional donations so that we may continue to provide train rid...es during public run days on the 1st Sunday and 3rd Saturday of the month. The persons arranging this fundraising and staffing it are members of the City of Torrance volunteer program dedicated to the continued operation of mini-trains at Wilson Park and preservation of railroad history in the City of Torrance. Pregnant women and individuals with pre-existing injuries should not ride the train. Contact [email protected] with additional questions. FUN FACT: The full moon of August is called the Sturgeon Moon and will grace the skies the same day that Mercury is at its highest in the predawn sky and it is farthest from the sun, making it an ideal time to see the innermost planet. The Sturgeon Moon will officially become full on August 26 at 4:56 a.m. PST (1156 GMT).
