***Commercial Structure Fire*** Shortly after 1am, WFD Engine 1 was dispatched to a water flow alarm on the 100 block of West Main Street. On arrival, conditio...ns revealed a working attic fire, sending all Woodland Fire resources and automatic aid from Willow Oak Fire Protection District, UC Davis Fire Department, City of Davis Fire Department, and Yolo Fire Department to the incident. The fire was contained near the area of origin, though smoke and water damage to several businesses was significant. No injuries were reported. Crews remained on scene until approximately 6am. While crews were on scene, West Sacramento Fire Department and UC Davis Fire provided station coverage.
Station 7 started off shift with a pug that went for a morning stroll and a cat stuck in a tree.
4282A Engine 7 returned home yesterday evening after 6 days in Southern California with the Silverado & Blue Ridge Fires.
Up to date, WOFD has had approximately 300 members in the department. Today, 12 new Reserves begin their second weekend of orientation training.
