We will be abiding by all CDC, California Health and Cosmetology Board rules and regulations, along with very thorough cleaning and disinfectant practices. ... Here is the latest info about Willow Beauty Bar Dear Willow Beauty Bar community,... Last Monday July 13th Placer County hair salons were once again shutdown, this news was devastating because it came with no warning and we had not yet caught up from the previous shutdown. Yesterday Governor Newsom along with the State Board of Barbering and Cosmetology announced that we are able to work outdoors. Although this might sound like good news, it truly is yet another hoop to jump through. The laws that go along with operating an outdoor salon are not cost effective, limit our scope of work and most importantly do not allow for the excellent service that we want to provide for our customers. With that said we at Willow Beauty Bar have decided NOT to create an outside salon. We will wait for the next announcement from Governor Newsom on Aug 3rd, and hopefully we will be given the ok to reopen within the salon walls. I apologize to those who are in need of hair services and do hope you will wait for us to reopen. For everyone who has been cancelled by this last shutdown please know we will give you priority when we can rebook. When we are able to reopen it is my utmost desire to take care of our community first. Although we love extra business we want to take care of our long time loyal clients. We have to protect ourselves as stylists seeing multiple people a day and our community that we will live with for the upcoming winter. We will not allow anyone in the salon who has not been permanently residing in the Tahoe area for less that 14 days. Once our numbers go down and we have caught up on past appointments we will reevaluate. Please educate yourselves on our salon rules and protocols and be respectful of other clients in the salon. All of us at Willow Beauty Bar want to reassure you that we are ecstatic to get back to work, but we want to do it safely. In this long time at home Willow Beauty Bar has been planning and preparing for re-opening. The design of Willow is so great that no structural changes will need to take place.(Thanks to my amazing husband for this decision 3 years ago) The 2-suite set up follows all social distancing guidelines and the having a shampoo bowl in each studio makes cross co...ntamination a non-existent issue. We have purchased more capes, towels, hand sanitizer and surface disinfectant in preparation. We also have a small stock of disposable masks in case someone doesn't have one of their own. Along with ALL this we have an UVC light sanitizer to kill all microorganisms. This system will be used every night and the windows will be left open as much as possible to keep fresh air in circulation. Our biggest concern is YOU! We want you to stay healthy and equally important we want you to feel safe in Willow Beauty Bar. We understand the toll this virus has taken on our mental health and we are sensitive to each individuals comfort level. Please let us now how we can accommodate you, and please do not feel pressure to interact in the community if you do not feel comfortable yet.
