Here at Williams Group, we want to make sure we are doing our best to help limit the spread of the virus so starting today, we are limiting our in-person appointments. The app allows you to upload files directly from your phone and camera. We also use this portal for you to review any work and sign documents. We have added most of our clients to the portal already. If you are new to the Williams Group family, please contact Helen Covey at [email protected] to get setup. Once files are uploaded, we can setup a phone call or web meeting to further assist you. During this time, we will be working from our home offices. Whatever your business needs we will still be able to provide excellent service during this time. If we don’t answer the phone please leave a voicemail and we will return your call within 24 hours. You can even text us using 661-536-2005 (make sure to type in 661). IRS and CA have postponed payments for tax return, and 1st and 2nd qtr payments until July 15th. Both have also postponed the filing date to July 15th. IRS and CA are still issuing refunds during this time. So, if you are expecting a refund, we suggest you send your documents ASAP so you can have some extra cash, especially if your work hours are affected. Although many of us might be under financial, health, and mental stress with all that is currently happening, I believe we will all be stronger after this passes. I encourage all to use this limited down time to your advantage. Use this time to spend with family, read that amazing book on your shelf, or even hone in on a particular skill for your business. FTB is postponing payments for all individuals and business until July 15. This includes 2019 tax return payments, 2020 1st and 2nd Qtr estimates. The IRS is also postponing tax payments until July 15th. The IRS has not extended the filing date. As of now you need to file by 4/15 or file an extension.
