This year I started my little baking adventure. I’ve been blessed to have all of you guys to support my journey. Out of all my baking treats, this is the cake that I felt most proud of. Probably my biggest accomplishment so far. I was so scared to fail. But I conquered my fears, I shook off all the negative thoughts and anxiety, rolled my sleeves up, and bakes something everyone loved. Hi everyone! I thought it'd be nice to finally introduce the face behind @wickedxcakes on here since I've seen a lot of new faces on this account. To all of you i say Hola! My name is Doris but everyone knows me as Dory!. Yes...like dory from finding Nemo I'm married and a mommy of 2 boys. I LOVE baking because I LOVE sweets I'm a huge anime Nerd favorite anime of all time is Sailor Moon ... I'm a huge videogames nerd My favorite TV show is The Office Fun facts about me: * I started baking very young, my first cake was actually for my dad's birthday.. and I completely failed.. I didn't let the cake cool before adding the frosting and it all melted my dad made fun of me..still does * I stopped baking for a very long time and picked it up again around March. * my first cupcakes were for my husband's birthday, his favorite, carrot cupcakes. After that I started baking cupcakes for co-workers, family, and friends * i work a full time job and i bake on my free time,, while also being a mommy and wife.. yes its a lot of work, but i take any opportunity to bake cakes and cupcakes because practice makes perfect ! * I did not go to culinary school, and I've never worked in a bakery. I've learned to bake (and still learning) by trying new things and making mistakes and learning from them. I follow bakers that inspire me, I do research, and I watch a lot of videos. * I cry out of frustration when I make mistakes or when I mess up a recipe, but I don't give up, I start all over again and I keep going. A year ago it never crossed my mind that I'd be baking again and starting my little baking journey.
