It’s Monday and I’m declaring it a day to get some White and Salt items done. I have always had a hard time setting aside time for my own business to-do’s. I would do the bare minimum so I could spend more time on client projects because those are what brings in money right? But that isn’t the right mindset. What I am realizing is a more organized White and Salt equals a better client experience and an inspired designer means a more creative and beautiful end project. Confession, I am having a hard time keeping up my Instagram. Is that so bad to admit?? Seriously though, time is an issue and Instagram has been the first thing to go. I have a love/hate relationship with this platform. I know there is so much value here but it’s also exhausting. Exhausting coming up with content, converting my designs to postable images, being consistent...it takes a lot of time. Time I don’t have. So please bare with me, I’m still here. Designing my heart out while also mom-ing an adventurous baby boy.

I’m down 40 followers and I’m happy about it I’m happy about it because it was my doing. Last night, I spent a chunk of time going through my followers one by one and removed the ghost accounts. I’m so over the numbers game friends. What I want is a genuine community who is excited about their businesses and who *want* to be here. I also want to free myself from caring about something that doesn’t matter so I can focus on producing quality work and engaging with the peopl...e who matter. @kaitlinfontenot is testing this method because since doing it, she has noticed a spike in her impressions and engagement which is so awesome!! Even if that’s not the case though, I want to ask you...what are those ghost accounts doing for you? I’ll tell you that the only value they are bringing is making your number appear bigger because they will never buy, never engage, and never care about what you’re doing. Thank u next.
