Attention: Dear Valued Clients, Friends and Family, H3N2 Outbreak in Oakland California -- BREAKING NEWS There have been two CONFIRMED H3N2 positive CIV cases at the Oakland Animal Services shelter as of (6/19/19), with another 100 dogs sick. With a large numbers of dogs within the shelter now clinical, the true number of H3N2 affected dogs may be much wider. I will keep you updated as information becomes available. ... As you may recall from the previous Northern California outbreak, dogs with CIV can develop coughing, fever, lethargy and pneumonia. CIV is a highly infectious disease and can lead to the closure of hospitals and boarding facilities. Lets keep our pets safe and vaccinated.
