Within CSHP we have been listening, observing, and learning as communities at every level are touched by uncertainty and unrest. These are challenging times, and we believe that challenge is ...another word for opportunity. We aim to rise to the challenge of these times. It is frustrating to not be able to gather and make theatre like we are used to. To not be able to come together in ways that are familiar to us. But communities and theatres are adaptable things, and to that end we are asking for your help. We have always tried to be inclusive and supportive of a wide range of people and perspectives. Like we hope all of you are, we are learning and growing. We may not always get it right, and we hope that you will feel confident in holding us accountable for personal, professional, and organizational growth. The CSHP Board has been working internally for a very long time - too long - on a mission statement and code of conduct for CSHP. In the spirit of community, we are asking for your input. We recognize that it is not anyone’s responsibility to educate us, or do the work for us. This is not an obligation, but a request. To ensure that we are being our best selves, we want to know what you think, how you feel, what’s important to you.
