Our WGE campus feels empty without all the students so our wonderful families spent an afternoon leaving messages, pictures, plants and cleaning up trash to make our campus beautiful. We miss you WGE teachers and staff! Big thanks to all those that came to help out, @littlemorgans for organizing and @casto_creations for the mural!

Unfortunately we were not able to have our normal parade down Lincoln Ave this year for Walk to School Day, but we still hope to get everyone out walking and riding on a regular basis. The City of San Jose is going to kick things off for us this year with their Walk To Wherever Challenge. For this challenge you will: 1. Pick three activities from the flyer posted on Konstella and complete any time from Oct 19 - Oct 30. ... 2. Fill out the google form on Konstella when you are done with each activity to be entered into a raffle. There will be one winner per grade per school, so be sure to fill out the form! 3. Share pictures and stories on social media with #IWalkSanJose and #wgetigers.

Looking for a fun way to celebrate Halloween and show your friends you are thinking of them from a distance? Time to get BOO'd! Our friends at Willow Glen Performing Arts Boosters are holding a fundraiser with kid and teen BOO buckets! Order from their site and deliveries will be made directly to the friend of your choice. Harvest Festival is Friday, October 23rd! Login info to the virtual celebration can be found on Konstella OR you can play a quest each day to find out the details. The quest will be posted on the fence on the Lincoln Ave. side of school each day October 19 - 23. Good luck and we'll see you Friday!! Costumes encouraged!

WGE PTA recognizes that times are tough for many families and we value your contribution to our PTA and school community, so we are offering free membership to any family who may need it. A portion of the fee stays with WGE PTA. The rest is submitted for local, state and national PTA efforts

If you need child care during distance learning, or know someone who does, the city of San Jose's K-8 support program provides scholarships to eligible families. This means this program can be ****NO COST****. In our neighborhood, the city is operating this program at the Willow Glen Community Center. Please spread the word!
