New COVID-19 Orders Take Effect Wednesday: Restaurant Dining Suspended, Residents Urged to Stay Home Due to the five day average of new cases in Los Angeles County exceeding 4,000, the county has implemented a new public health order restricting indoor and outdoor dining at restaurants, breweries, wineries, and bars, allowing takeout, drive-through and delivery service only. In person dining will not be allowed, at minimum, for the next 3 weeks. These orders take effect Wednesday, November 25th at 10:00 pm. If the five-day average of cases is 4,500 or more or hospitalizations are more than 2,000 per day, a Targeted Safer at Home Order will be issued for three weeks. The Order would offer additional restrictions while allowing essential and emergency workers and those securing essential services to leave their homes. Residents of LA County must also observe a ‘soft curfew’ and stay at home (unless working) from 10:00 pm - 5:00 am, with exceptions to shop for groceries, pick up food or walk pets outdoors. The ‘soft curfew’ is in effect through December 21st. Those who can work from home are encouraged to continue working from home and to minimize trips to and time spent at the office or physical workplace.
