Today we celebrated Halloween and did our WALK4ALZ. We had a wonderful time with family joining us socially distanced and masked. Our culinary team did an amazing job with "mice" meatloaf and "brain" chili. Happy Halloween!

September is Luau Month here at San Miguel Ranch! Each week we have special events, and yesterday our team dressed as Hawaiian tourists while Chef Erwin did a Kalua Pork cooking demonstration for our residents, while being streamed for family members on Zoom. What a fun day!

Starting on September 13th, we are excited to be celebrating National Assisted Living Week! This week is meant to provide a unique opportunity for residents, their loved ones, staff, volunteers, and the surrounding communities to recognize the role of assisted living communities around the country. Join in on the fun as we celebrate with exciting themed days, such as Grandparents Day, Disney Day, Western Day, and more!

Yesterday our theme for Luau Month was Hawaiian Cowboys to tie into our Assisted Living Week theme! We had hula and fire dancers entertaining us on our front lawn, while family members were invited to join us in a special section to follow safety protocols. Next Thursday we are doing a special Hawaiian Craft hosted on Zoom for both our residents and family members. Hope to see you there!

Happy first day of summer from Westmont Living!

We had an exciting Mother's Day here at San Miguel Ranch! Our Lifestyle Team put on a Social Distancing Parade that wrapped all the way around the building with numerous family members, including grand kids and pets coming out to support our moms. When guests arrived, we had a drop off table to sanitize gifts and they dropped off all of their banners to decorate our resident's rooms. Our team coordinated beautiful personal pictures and frames to honor our moms as well. After the parade, our residents enjoyed mimosas and Bacon Wrapped Filet Mignon. It was a very meaningful day for all involved!
