FALL BALL IS HERE! Registration is now open. Go to https://www.westhillslittleleague.org/ and login to register your child. Skip the question about boundaries, there are none for Fall Ball so your kids friends from other schools or leagues are welcome! Fall Ball is an extension of baseball during the time between the end of the season and the 2021-2022 season. While it is still baseball, it is more focused on the fundamentals and developing the kids for the next season. The g...ames are on Sundays and usually have 1 practice a week but could vary by coach. Signups will close on August 22nd to allow for team formation and some practices. Games will begin the Sunday after Labor Day on 9/12 and the last game will the Sunday before Thanksgiving on 11/21. All forms will be filled out at practice and the manager will collect the $50 fee. The votes are in and the positions have been accepted! Congratulations to our 2020-2021 West Hills Little League board. While we welcome and congratulate the new board, we also want to take a moment and thank those who were part of our 2019-2020 board. It was a difficult year and although there was not much little league played, there were still countless hours put in by all our volunteers, especially our outgoing president, David Sellers - THANK YOU ALL!

Many of you are asking about online enrollment. We are in the final testing stages and anticipate it going live any day. If you enrolled last year online, it will be a little different this year. ALL of our forms are now online. You will need to enroll from a computer and open the forms and print them and then either scan them if you have that ability or take a picture of the form and then save it to your computer. At that point you will need to attach it during the enrollmen...t. It's a lot of steps so we apologize in advance but I'm sure if you are staying at home you are bored and have time. All joking aside, we are trying and really hoping for a 2021 season. We do have a refund policy in place which will be part of the enrollment reviewing that document. It will also be posted on our website in the next day or two. Stay tuned and we'll be here to help answer any questions either via chat or on any FB posts.

We have had a few people ask about the 2021 season. We will be posting more information early next week as we iron out new details but anticipate opening up enr...ollment ONLINE ONLY starting December 1st. While we don't know all the answers with the new orders from the State of California, we will do our best to keep everyone updated. We should have some rough numbers and start looking at teams the first part of September. We also have to start thinking about next season. Fall Ball 2020 - Registration is back up - Please click on this link to sign up. If you are signing up multiple kids, you will need to do one for each player. https://forms.gle/xC5fhrmGNBhmgW347 This year Fall Ball will be a little different. We want to keep the kids on the field, however currently we must still follow the day camp rules which means no more than 12 kids per team and only practices will be allowed at this time.... Should games be allowed, they will be on Sundays, and normally begin the Sunday after Labor Day, and end the Sunday before Thanksgiving. Most teams will have one to two practices per week. We understand that many kids are also playing soccer and football, and that scheduling conflicts may cause them to miss practices. COST: The cost is only $25.00 and should the State of California open the fields to allow games, an additional $25.00 will be collected at that time for uniforms. There are no pictures or fundraising during Fall-Ball. Note: Payment will be collected by the Manager at the first practice but you must register online at https://forms.gle/xC5fhrmGNBhmgW347 WHO: All Players who will be league age 6 through league age 12 of next season, will be eligible to play. Placement in divisions will be based on league age as follows, unless you request otherwise. CAPS League Age 7-9: If we have enough players, there will be a separate (machine pitch) division for 6-7 yr olds. All 8 year olds, and any 9 year olds who played Rookies in 2019-2020 or are new to little league will be placed in the Caps division. MINORS League Age 9-11: Experienced 9 year olds, all 10 year olds, and new 11 year olds will play in the Minors division. MAJORS League Age 11-12: Experienced 11 year olds and all 12 year olds will be placed in the Majors Division. Please note the following: If you feel your child needs to be placed in a different division, you must make a request when signing up. Requests to play up a division (i.e. 10 year olds in Majors) will be honored as space and the player’s skill level allows. Caps. Minor and Major teams may have some travel to play leagues outside of Santee. Requests to play with a friend or family member can be made at all levels. Manager requests will be honored in the lower divisions. We will not be able to honor Manager Requests in Majors. Attention WHLL SDSU baseball game ticket holders: If you purchased tickets for the game on March 15th and still have your tickets we will be issuing refunds at the field Tuesday, 8/4 and Thursday, 8/6 from 5-6pm. Please bring your tickets and meet with our treasurer to get your refund. She will be located in the parking lot at the top entrance to the fields. Quick update - We will not be playing any games right now with stuff animals spectating. All joking aside, this week will be a busy week for WHLL. We met tonight to discuss the hows and what protocols will be used. Over the next few days, our safety protocol plan will be reviewed and more than likely approved and then put into action. It is very possible that we may resume practices as early as Friday if all goes well and is approved. The next question is "When is our practic...e time?" We ask for your patience while we sort out those who want to return and play and will we have enough teams, etc. Your manager should be reaching out to you no later than Thursday with more details and also asking if you would like to continue with a shortened season. First and foremost, if you are not comfortable with the safety protocol that will be in place, by no means do you need to have your child return and play. Your manager will be sending that out once it is approved by the City of Santee. Please keep in mind, this initial opening is just to allow our kids to get back on the field to practice. The Governor has not opened up youth sports to participate in actual games. While we are optimistic this could be this month, it may be longer - that is out of our hands but we as a league want to ready once we have the green light. I'm sure you have many questions and hopefully they all will be answered in the safety protocol that will be released this week to you. If not, we will address them with your directly and privately.
